More Emma

Here are just a few more pictures. Didn't want to mess with adding more to the last one!

This is for you Mom! Love You!

Announcing Emma LeAnn Anderson

EMMA LEANN ANDERSON
6 lbs 11 oz
19.5 in

Well our story begins in the wee hours of the morning. I woke up thinking I had a stomach ache that wouldn't go away, but they were contractions! After about an hour and a half I was ready for the hospital. Turned out I was already dilated to a 6! They immediately got me my epidural (bless you whoever invented that!) and after that it was a lot easier than I thought! She was ready to come! I only had to push for 45 minutes! Bless you Emma! Here are some pictures documenting our day...

37 Weeks!

Well I am 37 weeks and 2 days! Which means....burr burr burr (aka trumpet sound) I'M FULL TERM! Yay!
We went to the doctor's office yesterday. Baby girl is still 80% effacement, 0 station, but I've dilated to a 2+ (which probably doesn't sound so cool to ya'll, but that's less dilating I have to do when I'm in labor! I like to think of the positive)
The doctor said she'd give me probably another week but baby could still come anyday. Also, my doctor said he'd strip my membranes next week too. So...hopefully we'll have an announcement to make NEXT week! Tyler's hoping she comes before school starts (Jan. 9th) so we'll be praying!

Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Sorry this is pretty late, but at least its here! We had a wonderful Christmas and hope you all did too! We were able to stay at my parents house since that is as far as the doctor would let us travel! Guess this baby is further along than we thought! I'd dilated to a 2 and the baby was at 80% effacement and a 0 station. So...he still wanted us within reasonable driving distance. And...riding in the car is NO FUN anymore! She hates it too (which I'm a little nervous about) I get Braxton Hicks contractions or she just pushes down there after sitting less than 5 minutes in the car with a seat belt!
Anywhoo, Christmas was great we had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner (with only one minor mishap with the turkey). We woke up at 7:00 and opened presents. We were spoiled. We got some things for the baby. I got some Cricut cartridges, and Tyler got an MP3.

Doesn't he look so happy?
At 9:00 we were able to talk to Davis!

(this is my most recent picture...but its still cute!)
He's doing very well by the way! He'll probably be on every medication known to man when we gets home just to clean out all the parasites he's probably contracted, but hey! Its the best 2 years right? He only has less than 6 months to go! Can you believe it?
After that we got ready, and went to church. Its nice having church on Christmas day!
We hope you had a very Merry Christmas as well! And Happy New Year!

Love, The Andersons

Happy 2 Years!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABE!

So I am a day late in writing this, but there's a lot going on this time of year! So I expect to be given a break (not that you really have a choice in the matter). :) BUT...2 years again yesterday my dear Babe proposed on temple square in front of the Melchezidek Priesthood statue (my dream)!! It was wonderful!
Our dear friend Zach filmed the whole thing!! If you'd like to see it click here and then here. (There's 2 parts) :)
I love you Babe! Thanks for proposing! I can't think of anything I'd rather done with my life than marry you! Here's to forever! Muah!

35 Weeks...and 2011 Christmas Ornaments

Well here is yet another post of my growing belly...yes it is growing. I have the stretch marks to prove it, but I won't be showing those!
35 Weeks!

Only 5 more weeks to go (or less?)!! It doesn't seem TOO long, but my body thinks otherwise. Sleeping is getting more difficult (although I blame our bad, springy bed for some of that), my tail bone is starting hurt more, standing and sitting have to have equal turns or they get jealous (if that makes sense at all), appetite is going down since there is no room for food (although that could be good for the holiday season), swelling is increasing and baby is definitely trying to find more room somewhere inside of me! BUT its all worth it! We are getting very excited for our little girl to come! 5 more weeks!

We've also been preparing for Christmas! Yea! I love this time of year...well minus the cold and the icy roads. Although this year in Logan we have been very lucky. I haven't had to take the bus to work yet! (knock on wood)
We had fun decorating our humble abode after we came back from Thanksgiving! It looks pretty good if I do say so myself. We also had fun making this year's ornaments. We are continuing a tradition that I grew up with where we get a new ornament every year for the tree. This year we decided to make them (it was cheaper!) So we got clear bulbs, modge podge, glitter and a paint pen/marker and this is what turned out!

You can't really see the gold paint, but its there!

And here is our finished Christmas tree!

Needless to say we are having fun - waiting for Christmas and the baby! May time fly by a little faster! And with finals ending this week and work ending next week maybe it will!

Thanksgiving 2011

I realize it is past Thanksgiving...but I figure its better late than never.
Day 1: We began our trip Monday and drove to "pick up" my family (really...we just switched the their car). Then we drove to St. George to spend the night with the first set of grandparents.
Total driving time: 7 hours
Day 2: We drove from St. George to Queen Creek, AZ
Total driving time: about 8 hours
But due to the pregnancy we had to stop every 2 hours...most of those breaks took place at gas stations, but we did get to stop by this cool bridge! :)

My cute husband

Me: and yes I am swollen

Day 3: The girls spent shopping and the men went golfing. Also, due to lack of sleep from a very firm mattress, Tyler and I decided to move to Aunt Jill's to sleep. Thank you Jill for you bed, food and car!
P.S. Because of that change Tyler has declared he wants a queen bed. Guess that will be our next big purchase! Who knew one size up on a mattress could give you so much more space?

Day 4: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! We had a wonderful meal prepared by dear Grandma May and helpers. :) It was also good to see family. Many of whom had never met Tyler!

Day 5: Shopping...again (Tyler's FAVORITE thing I assure you!) We introduced him to the flea market aka swap meet then went to a movie: Breaking Dawn. Which my dad and Tyler thoroughly enjoyed. Well ok...they thoroughly enjoyed not being forced to see it. They saw Tower Heist or something like that. Then the VF outlets. Poor Babe. He got a little cranky.

Day 6: SUPER COOL DAY! My cousin Chantel is studying to be an ultrasound technician (I think that's what its called) and used me as a guinea pig! So we got to see our baby again! Somehow I will try and find a way to post it...BUT she is still a girl (thanks heavens!...didn't want to return anything!) and she has Tyler's nose (tell him its cute...he's a little self-conscious) and cute chubby cheeks! We are very excited.

Day 7: Drive home. This wasn't as cool...we didn't get to stop anywhere interesting...unless you count the FABULOUS Taco Bell in Page, AZ. (That's a joke) This time though we drove from Queen Creek, AZ to Logan, UT aka warm 75-80 degree weather to cold 20-30 degree weather :(
Total drive time: 14 hours (and yes...I did swell...A LOT)

Needless to say we had lots of fun and enjoyed seeing and being with family and having a break quite a lot!! Thank you to all of those who made our week fun! We are thankful for you!
