5 months old!

I know I am a day late, but yesterday was crazy with lots going on and no down time and today has been somewhat similar.  But yes, Emma is now 5 months old!  I can't believe it.  Highlights of the last month?  Well she started cereal...hated it, liked it, hated it, liked it...and we're hoping we stay there indefinitely.  She also started baby food.  She has so far tried sweet potatoes and squash, and likes them both. 

She's starting to find her feed, roll and sit up on her own.  Hopefully within the next few weeks she'll be doing all those things.
Other than that, no "major" accomplishments.  She's still pretty cute though and very messy, and apparently getting very chunky. :)

Yay for Sweet Potatoes!!

Today we ate sweet potatoes.  Her first baby food yet...and it was a hit!!  A messy hit, but a hit nevertheless.  Here's the video. (sorry its a little jumpy and my hand is in the way a lot of the time...we'll get better at our cinematography)

And she ate almost the whole jar! Whoa! (I promise there were only like 4 bites left!...can you tell I'm a proud mama?)

 Well...at least whatever made it into her mouth!  (I tried to get her to smile...but she was being stubborn!!)

 

 She likes to wipe her face with the bib.  Sometimes its good, sometimes its not (like when I'm trying to put cereal in her mouth)

Now if she can only do this with her cereal!

2 Years!

Today Tyler and I celebrate our 2 year anniversary! I know! We're ancient now.  Funny how the second year of marriage goes by a lot faster than the first. 
 Here are some of the highlights of our first two years:

We went to Disneyland

Tyler caught his first fish!

We went on a cruise

Got pregnant

Had a baby

Brought home a baby

And of course, just had fun being together

Cereal part 2

 Today Emma ate all her cereal! 

 Well...at least what made it into her mouth...(this is after wiping her mouth about 5 different times.)
What a stark contrast from the beginning of the month!  (I guess it helps if I read the label right and then still make it thicker...oops!)

19 Weeks

 Today Emma turned 19 weeks.  I realized I found out she was a girl at 19 weeks pregnant.  These 19 weeks sure went a LOT faster than those first 19 weeks of pregnancy!

(for some reason she liked it...don't judge us. :)

Cereal

 The doctor gave us the ok to start Emma on "solid" foods.  So today we gave her rice cereal.  Even thought the ratio of cereal to formula/breastmilk is pretty small (1Tbsp/5 oz.), Emma did not like her cereal.
