Granola Bar

My silly little girl.
She loves things that make crinkly noises.  Especially her granola bar.  She's loved this "toy for about 6-7 months now.  I'ts never been opened, but sometimes it is the only thing that will keep her quiet in church.
Sorry for the bad picture.  My camera can be temperamental sometimes...and it was zoomed pretty far!

Lately she's taken to crawling around with it in her mouth.  You should have seen her struggle with it at first! It was so funny!  She'd get it in her mouth, crawl a little, then it would fall and she'd get it back in, crawl a little and it would fall out.  This happened at least 5-6 times until she finally got the hang of it! So funny!

Emma also LOVES to play peek-a-boo.  She'll play it with anything: blankets, bibs, curtains, burp cloths, etc.!  She's so cute!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

I'm trying to make up for my lack of pictures in November.  So we took a few before we headed to our ward Christmas party last night!

We decided to be festive...

Then we went to the party and guess who was there?

SANTA!

Santa insisted we get a family picture. :)
We were really worried that Emma would cry, but she was more curious than anything.  And once he gave her a candy cane...she didn't care who was holding her!

At the end of the party they had a dance.

Emma had a lot of fun!

Until she realized how tired she was.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas season!
Merry Christmas!  And may you get more snow than we are! :(

11 Months!

Emma is now 11 months old!  I can't believe it!

She's grown a lot in the last month.  She is now up to 20 lbs!  YAAYYY!!!  Which means at the end of this month we can turn her around in her carseat!!  OH MY YESS!!  We went down to Cedar City for Thanksgiving to stay with Tyler's family.  The car rides were awful!  I was in the back about 90% of the time.  And it is not the most spacious backseat if you know what I mean!  And even then she would cry and scream because she wanted out.  It made me realize why we don't visit people very often...that and the fact that she won't sleep at night!  Ya, we left a day early just so we could actually get some sleep over the break!

Emma's favorite things this month
1. Books.

She prefers books over her toys.  She loves, and I mean LOVES to turn the pages.  You don't even have to say anything (but I always do don't worry).  And she will "read" the same book over and over and over and over and over again.  Literally until you decide you can't take that book anymore.

2.  Mac and Cheese.
It is her favorite.  She probably has it everyday for lunch because I know she'll eat it.  And she will eat an entire little easy mac thing (minus the bites that I steal).

3.  Head Diving.
Yes.  In order to get off furniture, she believes she must head dive off.  She used to cry every time but now I think she has gotten used to it.

4. Eh?
This is her favorite "word."  She says it ALL THE TIME.  If you are talking to someone else either in person or on the phone, or especially if you are talking to her she always looks at you, cocks her head and says "eh?"  Just like her Uncle Davis.

5. Other stuff.
Emma got one more tooth. One of her bottom teeth.  I think its really going to look funny once the other one comes in and they are off! Emma also refuses to walk and or stand.  She loves to walk along the furniture, but you try and get her to stand alone and she IMMEDIATELY sits.  She is such a turd.

10 Months!

Today Emma is 10 months! She's getting so big!

A few things we've learned Emma enjoys doing this month.

Emma loves to get messy.  You'd think that by 10 months she'd be a little cleaner after eating a meal? No.  Not this child!

Emma also loves doing her "sniff face."  She entertains everyone around her in church with this.

Emma LOVES to get out of the house.  I don't blame her.  I hate being/feeling cooped up all day too!  It stinks that the cooler weather is coming because we definitely won't be going outside much!

Emma loves suckers.
Whether the wrapper is still on them or not.
She also likes having more than one sucker.  Again, whether or not the wrapper is on does not bother her.

Emma also likes onions.  Weird child.
I was cooking dinner one day and brought the garbage can into the kitchen so it would be easier to throw the scraps and garbage away.  Next thing I know I found this little thing had gotten into the garbage, taken out the onion top and was sucking on it.  Her breath was SO bad!

Emma now has teeth.  (I realize what an awkward picture this is, but it is the best I could do, believe me) She obviously has the two top front.  I'm guessing one of the sides and right now I believe her bottoms are coming in.  I tried to get a better picture, but she bites me when I stick my finger in her mouth, so I just try not to go there any more. :)

Emma loves to stick anything and everything in her mouth.  I realize this is a baby thing, but it just seems to get worse the older they get! Oh well!

Costume Contest

So last Friday our ward did a Halloween party.  They had games and a Chili cook off and a costume contest!  And guess who won the costume contest?

WE DID!!

We couldn't put our masks on or Emma would scream.  I made Tyler try his on earlier to make sure it would work, and Emma burst into tears.  Even when he took it off she wouldn't have anything to do with him for a while!
We won a box of Junior Mints (woohoo!) and a $10 gift card to Aggie Ice Cream! YUMMMM!!  I am SO excited to use that!
After the contest(s) they did a Trunk-or-Treat.
Emma was not thrilled.
Do you like her "I want to bite you" face?  Ya, it was WAY past her bed time and she was not in the mood.  But we still had fun!

What was her favorite candy she scored?  A sucker.

Ahhh! Pure heaven!

Mmmmm..I love it!

Not the greatest video, but you get the idea; she loves her suckers. :)

The Pumpkin Walk

Every year Logan does a pumpkin walk.  They choose a theme and then people volunteer to make scenes using pumpkins.  Its REALLY cool, and I will greatly miss it when we move next year!  So...here are the highlights of this year.
Disclaimer: Just so you know, we went twice.  Once on a beautiful day that was nice and sunny and warm, but of course my camera died.  So we went back yesterday...after it snowed.  So if you see pictures of Emma without her coat I PROMISE it was when it was sunny and warm and my camera was still alive.

The theme this year was "let the games begin"

Aren't we so cute?

Madagascar (3 I believe)  Emma wasn't quite sure what to think.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Candyland

Disney

Super Mario

Some sort of witches game

Harry Potter Wizard's Chess

Emma starting to enjoy things.  She really got excited, happy screams and all!

Nachoooooo!

Just Dance

Killer Bunnies (no idea what that is, but I thought they did a good job!)

Clue!

Wipeout!

And my personal favorite...
The Hunger Games
(these pictures really don't do it justice.  The artist had awesome detail on the faces!)

Guess who? (I loved this game as a kid!)

Duck, Duck, Goose!

I Spy...(I love the Christmas Tree!)

Snowball fight!

Hi-Ho Cherry-O! (again, loved this game as a kid!)

Alice in Wonderland

Political (of course)

Harry Potter!!
if you look real close at the quiddich sign you can see the golden snitch!

Then of course we took full advantage of the cardboard cutouts.  Emma didn't quite get the idea...

This is probably the best one where she's doing what you're "supposed to do."

This is probably my favorite one.  Pretty sure Snow White didn't eat her own face...just sayin'
Aren't I pretty?  Maybe I'll go blonde.

This is how Tyler looks really.  He's just good at hiding it.  He shouldn't go blonde though.
