Splash Park

One of the best things about Greensboro, and one of the things I will miss the most (because we're moving!...more on that at the end) is the Splash Park!  Why?  Because not only is it fun and the kids love it, its FREE.  Which makes anything awesome really.
So to celebrate Memorial Day and the fact the Tyler actually didn't have to work (miracle!) we went to the splash park to wear our our kids so they could take good naps and we could watch something more adult than Daniel Tiger or The Backyardigans.  It worked.
E has always been a water baby.  But she is very specific.  She doesn't like swimming pools (unless daddy is holding her) because her feet don't touch.  And she doesn't like water from above (like showers) for who knows.

L however just loves water.  No specifications.  She had the time of her life today.

Splash Park...we will miss you come August 1st.  Why?  Because we are MOVING BACK TO UTAH!  Tyler got accepted to the dual Master's programs of MHA/MBA at Weber State.  So we will be moving to the Layton area.  SO EXCITED!!  We have loved North Carolina, but we are excited to be near our family and friends again...and to finally finish school so we can put down roots somewhere!  :)

The Rain

The rain.  Oh the rain.  I have such a love-hate relationship with it.  I love the rain, but I hate the mood it puts me in.  You know, the one where you don't feel like doing anything because its gloomy outside?  Sucks out any and all motivation I had for the day.  Oh well.  So instead of doing anything productive today, we played in the rain.

They loved every minute of it!
Even drying off.
Excuse my un-done hair.  Remember that comment about no motivation?  Ya.  At least I showered!

 She's a stinker.

The Zoo and the Parentals

So my parents came for a short visit last week.  Bittersweet.  So we made the most of it by going to the zoo!  It was fun.  And hot.  And a lot of walking.  It was a big zoo.
We saw elephants.

And an ostrich

And some giraffes (just don't look to closely...and no. I did not take this picture on purpose)

And many other animals and such that I didn't take pictures of.
But E's favorite part of the zoo was Grandma.

They are attached at the hip I tell you.
E's attachment to my mom is slightly unhealthy.  But my mom loves it so its all good.

L's favorite part of the zoo was the carousel.  E thought it was fun, but was ready to get down after a minute or so.  L was bouncing up and down, screaming in delight, kicking her legs and smiling the whole time.

She wasn't happy with us when we took her off.

Our time was short, but we loved having them!
I love L's face in this picture!!!!

 We love you!
(again excuse the poor quality and the random date.  My camera hates me!)

8 Months

So I am really bad at posting.  Our little Lydi-bug turned eight months almost 2 weeks ago, but I am just now posting.  I know. Go me.
Please excuse my camera on some of these pictures.  I don't know what happened.  And I don't know how to fix it.  It just chooses when it wants to take good pictures.

This past month, she started eating normally...finally.  She has significantly shortened her naps...crap.  And started scooting more.  Although she prefers to roll everywhere.   She can however pull herself up to a sitting position.  She also loves to get into everything...just like her sister.  Yea.
(and excuse the weird date on the pictures.  It's not correct-especially considering I wasn't even married at that time!  Stupid camera)

I still love them.  Don't worry.
