What's New With Us

Well, the new year is off to a start, January is now gone and life is still good, but cold here in Logan, Utah. Cache valley has had some snow, but more cold and muggy cloudiness than anything.
Mandy and I need to be better at updating our blog! So, what's new with us?
I've started a new semester here at Utah State and have changed my major from Public Relations to Psychology...I would like to pursue a doctorate and become a clinical psychologist and be involved with Marriage and Family therapy (hopefully with LDS Family Services). I still hope to try for a position in teaching seminary as well, but there must be something else to fall back on if the seminary isn't right for me...only the Lord knows that for now!
I am really enjoying my classes and am excited to work with the rats during our lab this semester, we get to train them to do some cool trick for a treat...behavioral conditioning. I am also in various other psych and family consumer science courses.
I have started a new job at a place called Conservice. I quit my job as a teller at Wells Fargo in December of last year and am now enjoying my new job. Conservice is a third party billing company that helps rental management properties handle the utility billing. I am a Customer Service rep there and help customers resolve concerns and take payments over the phone.

Mandy is still teaching at Melody Lane Preschool, but she is excited to finish that up this year and find another job! She says she needs a break from kids for a while, especially before we begin trying for a baby (whenever that comes). Mandy is also taking a Spanish class some week nights to be able to communicate with some of my relatives and also because she wants to be able to help in teaching our kids the language as well. She's doing really well and seems to be top of her class, because she already knows some stuff. :) Mandy also recently accepted a calling as the Primary Pianist at Church, so she keeps busy with that and enjoys being back at the piano.
I am still teaching Elders Quorum on 4th Sundays and enjoy practice in the Stake choir. That is really the extent of our lives, but we do keep pretty busy!

Other than those updates, all I can say is that life is grand! I feel so truly blessed for having such an amazing wife and feel like we have a really good, healthy, and happy marriage. I also know that Father in Heaven is the main source of our bounteous blessings and that life doesn't always bring happiness, but by living gospel principles we are able to work through challenges and live happier and more productive lives. The Lord blesses us beyond measure and I can see it happen for us daily. So, live long and prosper!
