We're Here!

Well...we've made it.  We're here in Greensboro, NC.  And even though my apartment still mostly looks like this even after a week of living here
This is the only picture I'm willing to show :)
...we are indeed alive.  Here are the highlights of our last 2 weeks.

Tyler graduated from Utah State University.  Sadly, these were the best pictures I could get.
Yes, this is on the jumbo-tron
Yes it is actually Tyler down there.

E didn't want to cooperate.

The whole family...and E still refusing to cooperate.

A few hours later we moved everything out of the old apartment and early Sunday morning they drove off...
39 hours of driving ahead of them....don't they look happy?

Then me, E and my mom flew out on Tuesday.  I didn't get any pictures of that.  It was too hectic and crazy of a day.  No eating, and barely making our connection.  After my cousin picked us up from the airport we just collapsed on her couch with dead looks on our face.  We sadly weren't very exciting that day.

Then Wednesday we moved in. The apartment is luckily bigger than our last (it should be since there is another bedroom), but the kitchen is smaller.  Now I had a small kitchen before, but this one is TINY.  BUT...its redeeming quality is that there is a pantry.  If it didn't I would have probably sobbed.  Not cried...sobbed.  It's that small.
Here is the big difference we've had since moving.
The view from our apartment

 and driving around town...

Ya...definitely not in Utah anymore.
But so far so good.  Tyler started school on Monday and we haven't seen him since.  Poor guy!  He also landed a great internship at a local hospital which will REALLY help with the whole med school application process.  His boss used to be on the admittance committee at Florida State and has already offered her services.
So, while there are moments I sit and wonder how we are ever going to survive, or cry because I realize how far away I am from everything and everyone I've ever known (and because I'm pregnant) or pray that we can make some friends, I'm also grateful I still have one little buddy!

Til next time!

  3. Moving across the country is the worst, hope you get settled in soon. I am excited that you live so close now, let's plan some get-togethers this summer!
