Happy Halloween everyone! This year we dressed the girls up as princesses. I think they're adorable.
We tried to teach E the art of trick-or-treating. She got the whole grab as much candy as you can thing down, but was too painfully shy to say "trick-or-treat" or anything close to it. Oh well. Next year right?

Emma's Room
Now that we moved the crib out I was finally able to decorate Emma's room. I think it turned out pretty cute!

My 2 Little Pumpkins
My very extremely talented mother made the girls Halloween outfits (well the skirts but she bought the rest) this year. And you can't just wear them on Halloween, so I thought I'd post them today!
And yes, E actually let me take pictures of her!
L is easier to take pictures of so there are obviously more of her!

No more crib!
About a week ago we moved E into a toddler bed. I don't think she was ready but with L hating the cradle and being so noisy no one can sleep, we are ready to move her into the crib in her own room in a few weeks...therefore we had to move E to the toddler bed.
Over all she has done pretty well. The first few nights she never left her bed but would cry for a bit. Now she is not afraid of leaving her bed but luckily gets back in after about 5 minutes.
She does however have problems staying in her bed while asleep!
How you can stay asleep like this I have no idea. We put her back in bed after taking this picture then went to check on her an hour later and found her completely on the floor. Wild sleeper!
And here are a few pics of my cute 6 week old (time goes by so fast!)

Matching Outfits
My mom bought the girls matching outfits (which is one of the best things about 2 girls). This is me trying to take pictures...
Cute and sweet right? Oh wait! Matching means there has to be at least 2 people wearing the same outfit...
Ya...that went well. Which also gives you a glimpse of my morning. Aka...laundry? still not done. Groceries? still not bought. Opening the tub of Halloween decorations that has been sitting in my living room for a week? pretty much given up on that. House/rooms clean? ha! hahahaha! maybe when they're 30! BUT I did get the dishes done, so I guess this morning can still have a bit of success to it!

1 Month Old
Lydia turned a month old today! Kinda crazy! This month went by pretty fast!
Things we've learned this month:
1) Lydia loves to sleep. If she doesn't want to wake up she won't and there is nothing you can do to wake her. This is especially annoying when she falls asleep eating in the middle of the night. We have tried everything...undressing her, tickling her, lotion, a cold wash cloth, holding her in front of a fan, etc. Heck, the other night both Tyler and I were tickling her - vigorously - and it did nothing. We have tried everything anyone has suggested and nothing works for this kid.
2) As I said, Lydia loves to sleep...but only if she's being held. I kid you not...she will fall asleep in your arms or on your chest and the minute you lay her down she is wide awake. Lucky for me I've learned to sleep sitting up or I would have way too many sleepless nights. I won't lie though...I do like a cuddly baby. Emma could have cared less if you held her or not as a baby so this is a nice change.
3) She is very noisy. Lydia grunts all day long. She does not like to be moved. If she is in one position you do not move her to another position or she will tell you off...in her own language. It really is quite funny though! :)
Basically she's a doll and we love her to death...well most of us. Emma is on a moment to moment basis. :)
Here is an onslaught of pictures. :)
Fun with Grandma!!
Oh how we miss her...

First family photo.
Update! Had her 1 month check up today (10/9) and she weighs 9 lbs 12 oz and is 21 inches long! Putting her in the 50th percentile in both categories!
